In November 2011, Prof. Hübler along with Mr. Kiran Prayagi and Mr. Chaitanya Bapat visited a few companies who are indirectly related to the printing industry. Big FMCG companies like Cadbury India Ltd.

22.-23.11.2011: 3rd Indo-German Packaging Conference was a great success

With the upcoming Drupa ’12 in May 2012 and green printing as the focus, the 3rd Packaging Conference was held on 22nd & 23rd November 2011 in Mumbai. The conference was jointly organised by Graphic Arts Technology and Education (GATE), Mumbai, India, and the Institute for Print and Media Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology (pmTUC), Chemnitz, Germany.

22.-23.11.2011: Indo-German Conference on "Packaging Printing" in Mumbai

We would like to announce the 3rd Indo-German Packaging Printing conference, hosted by pmIndia - joint venture of the Institute for Print and Media Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology [pmTUC] and Graphic Arts Technology & Education (GATE).

26.7.2011: Manipal Guide for double degree students published

Dear students,

we have just published our Manipal Guide. The guide was created in cooperation with our M.Sc. student Tobias Seifert, who has spent 5 months at Manipal University in India in 2010. It is meant for prospective double degree students to help them preparing their stay in India.

27.6.-2.7.2011: pmTUC researchers visit India to initiate R&D collaborations

From 27th June to 2nd July 2011, Dr. Moazzam Ali, and Prof. Dr. Arved Hübler visited India. The main objective of their journey was to initiate scientific collaborations with Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), including IITs in Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Kanpur.

8.06.2011: Guest lecturer from Manipal University talks on start-ups in India

We would like to announce a guest lecture of Dr. Manohara Pai, Associate Director of the Innovation Centre at Manipal University. He is going to speak about "Start-up of technology companies in India".

4.-5.03.2011: Best of print at Indo-German conference on "Printing Materials"

Print and technology came together on 4 and 5 March 2011 in Mumbai, India, where Indian and European print specialists gathered to discuss how their long-time expertise in providing the right solution can be leveraged on the print floor through the selection and optimum use of printing materials.

1.3.-30.6.11: pmTUC welcomes two interns from Manipal

Since 1st March 2011, two Bachelor students from Manipal University do a 4-month internship at the pmTUC. Vishal Jadhav Namdev and Niraj Kumar work on research projects in the field of printed loudspeakers and printed sensors.

29.-30.3.11: BMBF evaluation workshop in Berlin

On 29 and 30 March 2011, Mrs. Conny Schuhmann and Mrs. Sylvia Strauß participated in the evaluation workshop of the BMBF campaign "Marketing measures in the target country India", in which the pmTUC was involved with its project "pmIndia - Linking High Potentials".

01.03.2011: Chemnitz student for internship at Manipal University in India

Since 1st March 2011, Claudia Döhler from Chemnitz University of Technology is doing a 4-month internship at Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal University, India. Her project deals with CFD analysis of a centrifugal air blower.

1.1.2011: BMBF supports new project for the development of research structures in the field of print media technology in India

The project titled "Indo-German Research Center for New Media & Green Printing" aims at establishing a modern technology and research centre for the Indian printing industry together with Indian partners.

04.-05.03.2011: Indo-German conference on Printing Materials in Mumbai, India

On 4 and 5 March 2011, the first Indo-German Conference on "Printing Materials" takes place in Mumbai, India. This conference aims to discuss the most important materials used in printing processes, valuable for the printing industry as a whole.
