14.12.2010: Join us for our Indo-German Round Table and exchange the taste of India and Germany

We cordially invite everybody for the 2nd Indo-German student round table of the semester, which will be held on Tuesday, 14th December at 19.00 pm at DK35 (Reichenhainer Str. 70). On that evening we will have an Indo-German dinner along with a short presentation from Deep Prakash (Master 3rd semester student) about life style, culture and festivals in India.

7.-8.12.2010: 16th Technology Summit & Technology Platform

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, in partnership with the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research have been organizing the "Technology Summit and Technology Platform" from 7th to 8th December 2010 in New Delhi, India, to promote technology tie-ups, joint ventures and investments between India and Germany.

26.-27.11.2010: 2nd Indo-German Packaging Printing Conference a great success

The experts and industry authorities in the field of packaging printing met on November 26-27, 2010, in Mumbai to discuss and share the latest developments and advances in the field of packaging printing.

30.11.2010: Join us for our Indo-German Round Table Meeting

We would like to invite all the people who want to join us for the 1st Indo-German round table meeting from the Institute of Print and Media Technology. It takes place on 30th November in room DK 35 (Reichenhainer Straße 70) at 7 pm.

26.-27.11.2010: 2nd Indo-German conference on packaging printing in Mumbai, India

On 26 and 27 November 2010, the second Indo-German Conference on "Trends and Developments in Packaging Printing" takes place in Mumbai, India. This conference aims to bring together experts from the European and Indian printing industry to discuss the science and technology involved and to provide expertise in the area of special applications.

20.-26.09.2010: Delegation journey to Delhi & Mumbai

Between September 20th and 26th,2010 Mrs. Conny Schuhmann and Mr. Kiran Prayagi, coordinators of the pmIndia activities, took part in a German delegation trip organised by iMove, an initiative of the German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) dealing with international marketing of vocational training.

29.9.-1-10-10: Kodak digit’10 Print Congress in Manipal

Kodak digit’10 Print Congress was a three-day international conference on digital printing held on 29th, 30th September and 1st of October, 2010 at Manipal University. The event was jointly organised by Manipal Institute of Technology - Printing and Media Department, Manipal Press Ltd.

21.09.2010: Research network journey supported by Humboldt Foundation

On the occasion of the 2nd Indo-German Frontiers of Engineering Symposium organized by Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in June 2010, Dr. Heiko Kempa of pmTUC had the opportunity to meet well-known teachers and researchers from different Indian institutes.

17.09.2010: First double degree awarded

It was a premiere: Minu Karumanthra Peethambaran was the first to receive the double Master’s degree from Chemnitz University of Technology in Germany and from the Indian Manipal University. The 23-year-old student of Print Media Technology is the first to have completed the two-year double degree Master’s programme in Manipal and Chemnitz.

17.09.2010: 1st India Opportunity Seminar held at Chemnitz University of Technology

On 17th September 2010, the Institute for Print and Media Technology hosts the 1st India Opportunity Seminar. The seminar focuses on a topic that is currently causing quite a stir in Germany: the debate about the future need of highly qualified foreign experts due to the demographic trend.

1.7.-31.12.2010: pmTUC student granted scholarship for Master's Thesis by Stiftung Industrieforschung

Paritosh Prayagi, student of the Master programme Media Production, was granted a scholarship for writing his Master's Thesis about "Spectral Estimations of Multi-Channel Camera Systems" by the Stiftung Industrieforschung.

1.7.2010: New contact person for pmIndia activities at the pmTUC

Since July 2010, Dr. Gert Schlegel has taken up a new position as junior professor at Bern University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. His responsibilities with regard to the pmIndia project have been taken over by Mrs.

25.06.2010: pmTUC opened Representative Office India in Mumbai

On 25th June 2010, the Institute for Print and Media Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology [pmTUC] opened its Representative Office India in Mumbai. The Office shall serve as a platform for cooperation projects and international activities of German and Indian companies of the print and media sector.

25.06.2010: Launch of pmIndia Representative Office in Mumbai

On 25 June 2010, we will launch our pmIndia Representative Office in Mumbai. The pmIndia Representative Office has been in the business of consultancy and education for the last 20 years. It may provide support and assistance for companies of the printing, machinery and supply industry.

01.06.2010: 3 students from India do internship at the pmTUC

On 1st June 2010, three Bachelor students from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India started a two month internship at the Institute for Print and Media Technology in Chemnitz. The interns are involved in different research projects in the field of printed electronics.

08.-10.03.2010: Three Days Conference on Colour Basics, Colour Measurement and Management

With the successful record of the past two ‘colour conferences’ and the extensive work in the print and advertising industry, a big three days event on this subject is now planned to take place in the first quarter of 2010.

18.-19.01.2010: WAN-IFRA and pmTUC jointly organise seminar in Delhi

On 18th and 19th January 2010, WAN-IFRA South Asia and the Institute for Print and Media Technology host a two-day seminar on "Cost control, revenue opportunities in newspaper production" in Delhi, India.

15.1.-31.05.10: Bachelor students from Manipal do internship in Germany

Two Bachelor students from Manipal University have just arrived in Germany to do a four-month internship with an industry partner. During their internship the two students, who study Printing Technology in Manipal, will work on their Bachelor’s Thesis.
