The economic downturn has flattened and markets are slowly rising. During the turbulent downfall, many publishing houses came up with innovative ideas to reĀduce cost in every sphere of their activity. Workflows and processes were analysed to reduce wastage and the workforce trained to reduce operational errors and to shore up revenue.

This seminar looks into some of these interesting case studies from Indian newspaper publishers on how they went about controlling production cost and also generating new revenue ideas. The seminar will also have expert presentations from the research work undertaken jointly by WAN-IFRA and Chemnitz University of Technology. This mix of both theoretical and practical presentations, will give the production teams valuable insights on lean and efficient operation.
